Post naivety or post naive realism acknowledges the full implications of the most profound statement of modern neuroscience: that the world we experience is a construct created by the principle of the brain - the same principle that creates our experience of self. Post naivety, also called post naive realism, or post naive materialism (PNM) refers to what comes after "naivety", as a phase in human understanding. "Naivety" - expressed in modern terms - refers to the belief that the material world itself, as we encounter it is other than a construct of brain function.
